and incredibly lucky, Jack Sparrow is a pirate who sometimes ends up
being a hero, against his better judgement. Captain Jack looks out for
#1, but he can be counted on (usually) to do the right thing. He has an
incredibly persuasive tongue, a mind that borders on genius or
insanity, and an incredible talent for getting into trouble and getting
out of it. Maybe its brains, maybe its genius, or maybe its just plain
luck. Or maybe a mixture of all three.

(you know you did it as a kid!) i've been doing all sorts of crafty things. my sister is ahead of me by the huge number of blankets she's been making. again no call backs. i might end up a prop person for the rest of my two years at stephens' college. i'm going to chicago over winter break, then i'm getting my wisdom teeth pulled. maybe i'll post a pic of my hair. it's all kinds of awesome.
So long, lonelygirl15

I first want to thank Rachel for bringing lonelygirl15 to my attention. I will continue to watch lonelygirl15's movies even though the truth was revealed. I read it in the NY Times while I was researching for Acting 1. So sad... I am not savvy with computers so honestly I never would have noticed her stuff was "too well-filmed", etc. I really wish no one had thought about whether it was real or not. There isn't enough magic left in the world as it is. Some people like their fairy tales to still end with Cinderella getting her prince (instead of becoming a hardened feminist). I'm one of those people. So, even though it sounds like good-bye but it's not. The END is not written on the page.

On a side note-- I feel the need to vent against Brad Pitt. He's gone a different kind of crazy than Tom Cruise but it's still crazy, no matter what you call it. He was quoted as saying he and Angelina-of-the-massive-mouth will not marry until "Everyone" can. Like the government is going to change its mind because of you, Brad?! Get real. We're glad that you're in to philanthropy and all but honestly. This is pushing the envelope. You and Angelina should just go buy your own island and start a colony. You and Tom Cruise. And Paris Hilton. And all the other crazy people out there. Celebrities making government decisions-- telling the gov't how to do its stuff? Um, yeah, you're celebrities. You are rich, you party and you sometimes act.

Okay-- I know that I sound incredibly bitter. But I have been surrounded by theatre majors for the past three weeks and by darn I can't take much more celebrity nonsense. I promise I'll try to restrain myself next time...
You thought you'd heard the last of me...

Well, i'm back. like an old glove. so... i dropped truman. transferred to an all girl's school in columbia. now, i'm a theatre major who drives to classes everyday. plashy.

i got a hair cut. nothing extreme. i finally went to rehab for my people magazine addiction. now i'm hooked on vogue. (and teen vogue, because i'm really not elegant enough to pull off grown-up vogue.) started sewing again. had a garage sale. let's see.... what else? the transfer process was chaotic, so that's why i haven't kept in touch too well. that and i am not good at remembering to email people. but i do have DSL now. =)

feeling generally content. i feel like i'm in the place i'm supposed to be in. little self-conscious about the leggings i'm wearing, mainly because of the horrible childhood flashbacks they bring back. starting writing more and more. all is crazy. will i ever finish a story? i don't know.

got my new debit card in the mail today. it's shiny and gold. so grownup. it's a glam card. (honestly-- the world would be better if math was not required in college) this semester has been really rough and it'll be nice to move on to something new and different.

wow... i sound clinically depressed or something. sorry. i have only been awake for an hour and a half. must study more!!!! augh. learned a new word today: "plashy". isn't that fun? say it out loud a couple of times. it makes me smile.

ok-- side note-- what's up with keith richards falling out of a tree and needing brain surgery?! hello! he's 62. why on earth would he climb a tree? is he crazy??? famous people need lots of help.

another highlight of this week was that one of my friends that i haven't talked to in a long time found me on myspace. way to go, shane!

rae- did you get my letter? remind me! don't forget!
sara- you made me hungry with your entry about cheezits. (one of my most favourite foods in the world)

i'm still working on my unpublishable book. it confuses even me. there's some time travel involved. tomorrow i'm going to do a photo shoot with kate and lyd. it should be fun. i bought this crazy-big black dress at a thrift store. it's got more crinoline than queen victoria's coronation gown. anywho-- i'm stressed about all kinds of stuff right now. and i remembered this morning in the shower that i haven't packed yet. hmm. i might want to get on that.

my russian friend is leaving thursday. that's sad. erik is leaving tomorrow. most of my other friends are leaving friday so at least i'll get to see them more. hopefully.

have a plashy day.

i've got a golden ticket

is it just me or does that song stick in your head? it's in mine all the time but i try to block it out with the new songs from the new movie.
so yeah... went to the career center on thursday. was assigned a career. left. played baseball in front of BNB (where i live). well... ok, i wasn't really assigned a career. i took a bunch of tests, etc. the lady dissected me right in front of myself (disconcerting feeling) and gave me this prognosis:
english or theatre major with a business administration minor.

i'm so glad people are around to tell me these things.

lyd and i sat in the fountain yesterday. we really want to put Mr. bubble in it.

sorry kids that i've got nothing to say. school is draining me. but-- i am writing the most unpublishable book in the world. the reason it is unpublishable, you ask? because it comes directly from the craziness of my mind and will be so confusing and strange that people will choose being hit in the head with a lemon peel wrapped around a solid gold brick before reading my book.

ah, it's good to have some goals in life.

slackers could rule the world if they only took the time....

ok, i'm slacking off. uber-bad slacking. i have a bio test tomorrow. have studied for a bit. but not enough. i have a headache, i'm tired. i forgot to work out a schedule for next semester so i've been doing that. i'd rather be off having fun but honestly, it's 10:33 pm and there's nary a bit of fun to be had here unless it involves drinking which does not appeal to me. but on a side note, i do feel more confident about this test. it's stuff i know. i feel like i know it well. i forgot to take a nap today...

okay--- highlights (or just random weirdness) of the week: my lab partner being drunk in lab, chasing a pizza guy into Blanton, only to have to go into someone's room and ask for the number to order a pizza; buying a basket of old printer's stamps at a flea market, changing my shirt in the car while erik took pictures (sounds wrong but there was no skin showing... i took off the undershirt i was wearing because i was hot... i know, i am so talented) , playing a competitive and vicious game of Health Jeopardy, and um..... oh yeah, i almost melted in the computer lab during Russian Culture class, went to a LAME dance party but looked nice (ten dollar dresses from thrift stores really make me smile), going to Hy-Vee at 3:30 in the morning for bananas.
well, children, that's all there is-- there isn't anymore. i would tell you a bedtime story but it's liable to send me off to the Land of Nod.

by the way, does anyone know of what kind of career i should have?? i'd appreciate it if you'd get back to me on that... it's kind of important.

Sunday, March 26, 2006

ok. totally freaky weird day. basically it involved getting a cryptic message or two from a girl who thought i was in love with her boyfriend. yeah. anyway, my day was sucky. but i came back to my room to find a bounty hunter standing in front of my desk/bed. not just any bounty hunter-- it was BOBA FETT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so, yeah, now i have a date to all the dances at school. me and my cardboard boy. =)

also saw "V for Vendetta" last night. weird but interesting. still don't know what i think about it.

Tuesday, March 21, 2006

ok... i do need to update. but there's nothing much going on right now. i didn't want to come back to school. spring break was the most relaxing break i'd ever had. today there is like 3 or 4 inches of snow on the ground. good way to start spring. i emptied the trash today. (it needed it desperately) the dumpster lid was down and i hate opening dumpsters. i always have this feeling that someone or something will spring out of it and get me. paranoia, yes. another incomprehensible fact about myself. but seriously, what if there was something in the dumpster????? and it ate me???!!!

i'm starting yet another story. bad me. i need to concentrate on just one. you can only publish a bunch of half-finished stories if you're famous and dead. i am neither. but i also am toying with the idea of writing fake biographies. complete with pictures, etc. but anyway, the new story (which requires a photo shoot) is about a nurse going crazy in an insane asylum. my inspiration? the basement of nason hall (where i live) and this one guy's website:

http://www.opacity.us/

his pictures are awesome. and so, dear children, i leave it at that. enjoy.
